Sweden is still burning for the fifth day: Violence erupts after burning the Quran, so far 16 policemen injured in the clash

Sweden has been burning for the past four days after the issue of burning the Quran, the holy book of Islam, came to light. There are frequent reports of violent clashes between the police and miscreants. Clashes broke out between security personnel and rioters here on Sunday and three people were injured in the firing. Along with this, several vehicles were set on fire. According to local media, 17 people have been detained so far. Earlier on Saturday, several vehicles, including a bus, were torched during a rally in the city of Malmö.

 

 

Iran and Iraq had raised objections

 

Islamic countries have also expressed their displeasure over this incident after the issue of the burning of the Quran came to light. In the past, Swedish ambassadors to Iran and Iraq were summoned. During this, the governments of both the countries condemned the incident and also appealed to maintain peace.

The Danish-Swedish extremist Rasmus Paludan, who runs the extremist organization and the Storm Kurs party, claimed responsibility for the burning of the Koran in Sweden. In the statement issued by him, it has been said that he has burnt the Quran and will continue to do so in the future also.

 

More than 16 policemen have been injured

 

So far many people have been injured in the violence spread in Sweden. According to the report, 16 policemen are reported to have been injured in the fiery demonstration. At the same time, incidents of arson have also been reported in many places.
