
Former India captain and National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief Rahul Dravid will be the coach for the tour of Sri Lanka. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced a 20-man squad for the Sri Lanka tour. The captaincy of the team has been given to Shikhar Dhawan. However, the coach was not announced. The Indian Express has quoted BCCI President Sourav Ganguly as saying that Rahul Dravid will be the coach for the Sri Lanka tour. This will be the second time that he will join the senior team India as a coach. Earlier in 2014, Dravid was the batting consultant of the Indian team during the tour of England. He has also been the coach of the India Under-19 and India-A teams.
Separate team for Sri Lanka tour
India's premier team is in England to play the World Test Championship final. Team India, captained by Virat Kohli, has to play in the final of the World Test Championship in Southampton from June 18 to 22. After that, the team will stay in England and prepare for the five-Test series with England in August-September. At the same time, BCCI has decided to send a separate team for the ODI and T20 series with Sri Lanka.

Decision soon regarding T20 World Cup
Ganguly said that a decision will be taken soon regarding the organization of the T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup is to be held in India in October, but due to Corona, the BCCI had sought time in the first week of this month to decide on organizing the T20 World Cup in the International Cricket Council meeting by the end of June. The team is quarantined from June 14 before the tour of Sri Lanka. All the players will be quarantined for 14 days in Mumbai. After that on 28 June will leave for Sri Lanka. Players will have to stay in hard quarantine for the first 7 days. After this, the team will remain in soft quarantine for the next seven days. Team India will reach Sri Lanka and stay in Hard Quarantine for three days. After this, he will remain in soft quarantine till July 4. A three-match ODI series will be played on July 13, 16, and 18. After this, three T20 matches are to be played on 21, 23, and 25 July.
