For the last few days, the issue of entering the classroom wearing hijab in schools and colleges of Karnataka is gaining momentum. In the government colleges of Kundanpur and Bhadravati, a group of students donned saffron gamchas to protest against some girl students wearing hijab in class. The controversy had escalated to such an extent that the principal had to convene a parent meeting and clarify that uniform would be mandatory in the classroom.
On the Hijab controversy in some districts of Karnataka, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that hatred is being spread on this issue.
