The uproar over the Hijab episode in Karnataka is now visible across the country. The controversy over wearing the hijab is now taking a fierce form during the election season in five states. The Hijab controversy is being heard in the Karnataka High Court for the second consecutive day today. The issue is getting more intense due to the rhetoric of leaders of all political parties on this issue. In the case today, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav accused the Karnataka hijab controversy of giving communal color. He said that the country is heading towards civil war. Significantly, seeing the growing hijab controversy, the state government has ordered the closure of schools and colleges for three days.

For the last few days, the issue of entering the classroom wearing hijab in schools and colleges of Karnataka is gaining momentum. In this matter, first, the workers associated with ABVP protested, then now the comments of leaders associated with political parties have also started coming. On Wednesday, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said that the country is heading towards civil war. Earlier, the statement of AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi had also surfaced, he said that hatred is being spread in this matter.

Earlier in the day, tension escalated at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College, Manipal in Karnataka's Udupi district when two groups of students wearing saffron shawls and hijab-clad girls raised slogans against each other. In a video that has gone viral on social media, a group of boys is seen misbehaving with hijab-wearing girls in Mandya.

The controversy over Muslim girl students wearing hijab in a college in Karnataka started in January. In Udupi Pre-University College, girls were denied permission when they tried to enter the classroom wearing a hijab. In this case, a student has also filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court. Amidst this controversy, a similar dispute arose in a college in Kundanpur, Karnataka. In the government colleges of Kundanpur and Bhadravati, a group of students donned saffron gamchas to protest against some girl students wearing hijab in class. The controversy had escalated to such an extent that the principal had to convene a parent meeting and clarify that uniform would be mandatory in the classroom.

On the Hijab controversy in some districts of Karnataka, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that hatred is being spread on this issue. At the same time, South's famous actor Kamal Haasan said that a poisonous communal wall is being built through this controversy. Due to this dispute, the school college in the state has been closed for three days.

Taliban entry into hijab controversy

The Taliban has also entered the genie of the hijab controversy. On the day of Basant Panchami, Rahul Gandhi tweeted and said that we are snatching the future of the daughters of India. She wrote, "By letting the hijab of girl students come in the way of their education, we are snatching the future of the daughters of India, Mother Saraswati give knowledge to all. She doesn't differentiate." After this tweet by Rahul, the BJP party of Karnataka swung into action. State BJP chief Nalin Kumar Kateel termed it Talibanization and said that the state government would not allow Talibanisation of the education system.
