According to the information received today, the body of a non-local citizen was found under suspicious circumstances in the cremation ground Bilal Colony area of Jangalmund in Anantnag. When asked about the body, the officials said that at present the police have taken the body in their possession. He said a wound could be seen in the head of the body. However, for the time being, he has ruled out the possibility of death due to any kind of bullet injury. There the matter is being investigated.

At the same time, the police have also warned people not to go towards the forest area of Poonch district. Police appealed to people through the public address system in mosques in the Bahthurian area of Poonch not to go towards the forest and keep their animals inside their premises. A police officer said, "These announcements have been made after some people were seen moving towards the forest with animals amid an ongoing encounter in the area."
