The central government has taken a big decision to protect the environment. The Modi government has decided to completely ban single-use plastic from July 1. On Tuesday, the central government announced that control rooms will be set up at the national and state level to ban single-use plastic. A special team will be formed to check the illegal manufacture, import, storage, distribution, and sale of single-use plastics. These things have been said in the statement issued by the Ministry of Environment.
The ministry said that states have been told that single-use plastic will not be sent from one state to another. "Single-use plastics hurt the environment," the statement said. Marine nature is also affected by this. The increasing pollution due to single-use plastic remains a challenge not only for India but for many countries.
Which items will be banned
The list of single-use plastic items that will be banned is as follows - plastic sticks, plastic sticks of balloons, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice cream sticks, thermocol for decorations, plastic plates, cups, and glasses, wrapped in sweet boxes.
