Five members of a family have died in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Kerala's Thodupuzha. Police said the incident took place around 2.30 pm at Kanjar village near Todupuzha in the Idukki district. According to police, Kanjar resident Thankamma (80), his son Soman (52), his wife Shaji (50), their daughter Shima (30), and Devanand (five) died in the landslide in the morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a yellow alert in all districts except Kasaragod for Tuesday. Firefighters have been dispatched to rescue residents due to floods in Nedunkunnam, and Karukachal villages of the Kottayam district.
