
Five members of a family have died in a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Kerala's Thodupuzha. Police said the incident took place around 2.30 pm at Kanjar village near Todupuzha in the Idukki district. According to police, Kanjar resident Thankamma (80), his son Soman (52), his wife Shaji (50), their daughter Shima (30), and Devanand (five) died in the landslide in the morning.

Firefighters have been dispatched to rescue residents due to floods in Nedunkunnam, and Karukachal villages of the Kottayam district.
