WPL 2024: Mumbai team flies under the storm of Ellyse Perry, RCB star creates history by taking 6 wickets in WPL

RCB's star all-rounder Ellyse Perry created history in the Women's Premier League 2024 (WPL 2024). In the match played against Mumbai, Ellis took 6 wickets for 15 runs. With this, Alice Parry became the first bowler to take 6 wickets in the Women's Premier League. In the match, Parry bowled 18 dot balls in 4 overs and did not allow the Mumbai batsmen to stay on the crease.

 

He bowled 4 batsmen, in which captain Harmanpreet Kaur returned to the pavilion on 0 runs. In front of the dangerous bowling of Ellis, the Mumbai team lost 7 wickets in 27 runs and RCB won this match by 7 wickets and qualified for the playoffs.

After this, in his next over, Parry trapped Sajna and Harmanpreet in two consecutive balls and bowled both of them.

 

Let us tell you that Perry made Amelia LBW in the third over. In this way, Parry took two wickets while giving four runs. Perry scattered Pooja's stumps in the last two overs. Then created history by LBWing Siver-Brunt on the last ball.

 

In this way, Ellis broke the record of Delhi Capitals' Marizanne Cap in bowling well in WPL, who took five wickets for 15 runs.

 

If we talk about the match, RCB did not have a good start while chasing the target of 114 runs set by Mumbai. Sophie was out after scoring 9 runs. Smriti scored 11 runs. Sophie Devine could score 4 runs. After this Alice Perry and Richa Ghosh took over the innings. An unbroken partnership of 79 runs was formed between the two. Perry played an unbeaten inning of 40 runs and Richa scored 36 runs.
