Third World War: Missiles rained in Ukraine, civilians hiding in trenches, essential items and medicines missing from shops

Posted on 25th Feb 2022 04:16 pm by rohit kumar

The Russian army has started firing missiles in the capital Kyiv, launching an all-out attack in Ukraine. Warships standing in the sea are also raining fire in Ukraine. Ukrainians have been hiding in an underground shelter home after Putin warned of the dire consequences in history if NATO countries try to stop Russia. The situation in the country is showing signs of the Third World War.

Russia is continuously shelling many cities of Ukraine. These include Kharkiv, Odesa, and Lviv. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Koleba has said rockets are raining around military bases across Ukraine. Its worst effect has been on the common people. Civilians living near Ukrainian military bases have hidden in trenches. Whereas in many cities, people have bought essential goods from most shops.

Due to this, food items are running out in grocery stores. Whereas in Kharkiv, long queues of people are seen outside shopping malls and shops. There is also a shortage of supplies in drugstores in Kyiv. Al Jazeera said the international airport was targeted in the attack. In such a situation, there is a fear that if these attacks continue for a few more days, then the situation will worsen.

Fear of starvation and looting

Looking at the way the shelling is going on in Ukraine, it is feared that if the war continues for a few more days, then the situation of starvation may arise in front of the country. On the other hand, the shortage of goods in many shops has started on the very first day. In such a situation, there is also the possibility of looting here. Whereas the law and order situation in the cities is also very bad due to the police being taken as the security forces.

Ukraine and its neighbors close air borders for civilian flights

Ukraine closed its airspace to civilian flights on Thursday following Russian attacks, while Europe's aviation regulator issued a warning over the dangers of flying in border areas. Ukraine's southwest of Moldova has also closed its airspace, while Belarus in the north has said it is suspending civilian flights over its territory in support of a Russian military operation.

The Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise said on its website that the country's airspace has been closed to civilian flights. Flight tracking website Flightradarwe reported that a flight from Tel Aviv to Toronto had to be turned back while a Polish Airlines flight from Warsaw to Kyiv returned.
