New York, Jan 30 (IANS) With an experience of 30 years in the fashion and lifestyle industry, iconic American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger is set to share his journey with the world via a memoir.
Brand Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp, one of the worldÂ’s largest apparel companies, has announced that Hilfiger will publish a memoir with Ballantine Books, an imprint of Random House, said a statement.
In the book, Hilfiger will chronicle personal stories from his early childhood and formative years, his origins in the fashion industry, the setbacks, triumphs and sheer determination that drove him to build a multi-billion dollar global lifestyle brand.
“Reflecting on my experiences in the fashion industry over the last 30-plus years has been a wild ride, filled with milestone moments that have defined both my career and personal life,” said Hilfiger, 63, who is known for offering the classic, all-American style through his apparels and accessories.
“I always believe the best is yet to come, but so far, it’s been the adventure of a lifetime,” he added.
“I’m thrilled to publish Tommy’s personal story. After three decades in the business, he’s never lost his curiosity or entrepreneurial spirit. Now he’s ready to reveal the man behind the brand and share his wisdom with readers of all generations,” said Jennifer Tung, vice president, editorial director for non-fiction at Ballantine.
The memoir's publication is scheduled for Fall 2015, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
