The Defense Ministry tweeted, "The air defense system intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired towards the country by Houthi terrorists on Monday." The ministry has called upon the public to rely only on information from official news sources in the country. The attack comes a week after Yemen's Houthi rebels attacked a petroleum depot in Abu Dhabi and the country's main airport.
On the morning of January 17 in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Mustaffa targeted the ICAD-3 area and the newly constructed area at Abu Dhabi International Airport. Two Indians and a Pakistani national were killed, while six others were injured in the explosion of three petroleum tankers.
Warning to the perpetrators of the attack
