UN Secretary-General stresses establishing peace in Ukraine, says war cannot be the solution

On the completion of one year of the Ukraine war, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that war does not solve any problem, rather it creates many problems. He has appealed to Russia to end the war in Ukraine. In an emergency session of the United Nations General Assembly held in Ukraine, Guterres said, war is not the solution to any problem.

Guterres said that the people of Ukraine have been facing all kinds of problems for the past year. Now the people of Ukraine, Russia, and the rest of the world want peace. At this time, while the war is going on in Ukraine, the world should make efforts to establish peace by following the principles of the United Nations and the provisions of international law. The ceasefire in Ukraine is also important because a prolonged war creates distortions that last for decades.

Stop sending arms to Ukraine – China

China's deputy ambassador to the United Nations, Dai Bing, has said that sending weapons to Ukraine will not end the war there. This has been proven very well in the last year. The situation has worsened due to the excess of weapons. That's why emphasis should be laid on efforts to establish peace by stopping sending weapons there.
