Sachin Chaudhary kept searching for his brother for eight hours continuously. He sometimes went to seek help from police officers, sometimes tried to find the people of the company, from whose company his brother came to Raini village in Uttarakhand. And sometimes the local people kept asking about his brother by showing him his picture, but even after doing all this, he could not find any information about his brother.

Sachin's brother Vicky Chaudhary used to work in a company called National Electricals in Haridwar. Three days ago, his company along with two people sent him for maintenance work in the Rishiganga Power Project located in Rani village of Uttarakhand. On Sunday morning, when the Rishiganga brought devastation to Rani, all these people were working in the Rishiganga Power Project. There has been no notice of any of them since then.

Sachin says, "The police are not giving any information. The company people are not giving any list of missing people in which I can find the name of my brother. People are telling that here used to be the company below, where my brother came to work, but here is just a pile of debris. There is no trace of the company. ”How old is the brother? On asking this, Sachin starts crying bitterly and says, 'He was only 25 years old. He was not even married yet.

Sachin is not the only person who is wandering around the village of Raini looking for his family. There are dozens of people who come from different parts of the country, some of whom are looking for their son and some of their father. Vikas and his companions from the Shimla district of Himachal have also arrived here in search of their relatives.

He says, "First, we called on the helpline numbers issued by the government. They either kept busy coming or got no response. Then somehow the number of SDRF was put up, but they also only said that we are engaged in rescue work and it is not possible to give any concrete information. When no information was received, we all came here to find them ourselves.

Rishiganga was running the power project of a company called Kundan Group these days. The same company also has a project in Himachal. A few days ago the company received a complaint of water leakage from the gate of the Rishiganga project. To fix this, the company invited several employees of its Himachal unit to Rainey. All these people were present at the project site during the Sunday disaster. These people who came to Raini for only four-five days never thought that they would not be able to return.

Vikas says, 'Our people came here from Himachal on very short notice because the company was suffering loss, but now that such a big accident happened, then the company is not even being told how many people are missing and their What are the names. ”All the other families searching for their people are also accusing the company.

But, local police officer Manohar Singh Bhandari says, "Who will answer on behalf of the company? None of the people who were in the company left to answer. They are unable to release any list because all their records, all the papers, everything is over. There is so much debris at that place that no one can tell where the company, its office, and the dam used to be.

According to official statements, about forty people were reported missing from Raini village. Local social worker Atul Sati says, "It is very difficult to find out the exact number of people who have gone missing or killed." Earlier it was being said that about thirty people are missing from here. Now this figure has increased to 40. The actual figure may be much more than this. The list of local people is still being prepared because they were here and used to work on the project, so their disappearance is known to everyone, but any correct list of people coming from outside for work will be able to make it, it seems very difficult is.'

The number of people missing from the Rishiganga project in Rani has not been confirmed, but the administration has released data of 123 people missing from the project in Tapovan. Along with this, the local police have also released information about the recovery of 26 bodies and 5 human organs. It is in these bodies that people who have come here with the hope of surviving them are going through a very cruel process of finding their missing relatives.

Vikas from Himachal says, "Today, not a single person could be saved for a whole day, only the bodies have been removed. Now the last option left is that we go and identify the corpses that are being recovered. After seeing the horrific situation here, it seems that there is no hope left for the people involved in this project to be alive. So that we can do the rituals properly.
