Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's film Baawal, released on Amazon Prime Video, has created a ruckus in the OTT space. The film is being liked a lot, due to which Bawal has made a record viewership. After this good news, Varun also thanked the fans by sharing a video on social media.

Varun Dhawan has become a history teacher

Bawal was streamed on Prime Video on 21 July. Varun and Janhvi play husband and wife in the film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The story of Bawal revolves around the relationship between these two. Varun plays a history teacher who is more interested in not tarnishing his image than teaching. For this, he does different types of pranks.

His life and story take a turn when he is suspended from school for slapping an MLA's child and an inquiry is launched against him. Bawal was earlier to be released in theatres, but then it was directly launched on OTT. Most of the critics gave good marks to the film.

The film got more than 6 million views

A media consulting firm has claimed that the film has crossed 6 million views in the first week. Varun has posted on social media, which also has his video. Varun wrote – It is trending worldwide. We are running number one in more than 14 countries and are in the top 10 list in almost all countries.

Varun and Janhvi have come together for the first time in this film. At the same time, both have worked with Nitesh Tiwari for the first time. Nitesh has given another great film after Chhichhore. Like Chhichhore, Bawal is also a film with a social message.

Bawal was earlier to be released in theaters on October 6 but was later released on OTT. Bawal is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Earlier Varun Ki Bhediya was released in theatres, which was directed by Amar Kaushik. Bhediya was a creature comedy film. The film did not do well in theatres but was well-liked on OTT.
