Verdict: Black fungus notifiable disease declared in Haryana, CMO needs to give information about every case

Posted on 15th May 2021 04:41 pm by rohit kumar

The Haryana government has declared black fungus as a notified disease. Health Minister Anil Vij gave this information by tweeting. Many cases of black fungus have been reported in the state. Now on getting new cases, the doctor will report to the CMO of the district. Senior doctors of PGI Rohtak will hold a video conference about this and will discuss the treatment of black fungus.

Increasing black fungus patients in the state have increased the concern of the health department. After recovering from Corona, the number of patients who have sugar and black fungus has attacked them. The highest number of such cases occurred in PGI Rohtak in the last week. About 20 such cases occurred in PGI. Some of these people have lost their eyes and some have lost their ears. At the same time, two people have lost their lives. After this, two such patients, who have developed a fungal infection, were also identified at Karnal Medical College.

Haryana Congress President Kumari Selja had demanded that the government set up a state-level committee of doctors to monitor the situation in the districts of the entire state. Such patients should be identified and provided treatment at the earliest. The government should bear the entire cost of treatment and medicines for patients suffering from black fungus. It is even more worrying that the state health department does not yet have any data on how many black fungus patients have been found in which district of Haryana. An injection of two and a quarter thousand is being sold for the treatment of this disease for six thousand rupees.
