Along with Akshay Kumar's 'Samrat Prithviraj', Kamal Haasan's 'Vikarm' and Adivi Shesh's film 'Major' have also knocked in theatres. Even before the release, the comparison of these three films started that who among Akshay, Kamal and Adivi is going to prevail. Kamal Haasan is seen winning this match without any challenge. Both these films are seen filling water in front of Kamal Haasan's Vikarm. While 'Emperor Prithviraj' has taken an opening of fewer than 12 crores on the first day, Vikarm is seen earning a lot.

Tamil cinema veteran Kamal Haasan's film 'Vikarm' with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahad Faasil managed to create a lot of buzzes even before its release. The effect of which was seen in the first-day collection of this action thriller. The film has done a business of 29-30 crores in Tamil Nadu alone, which will be slightly higher than Rajinikanth's 'Annathe', the Diwali release of 2021. According to trade analysts, the worldwide collection on the first day is expected to be more than Rs 40 crores.

Kamal Haasan had also defeated Major and 'Emperor Prithviraj in the booking. Kamal Haasan's film had already collected over 10 crores in advance tickets before its release. There was a buzz on social media about Vikarm, one of its songs was embroiled in controversies with the release. The demand to ban it on the internet was also trending, all this controversy created a positive atmosphere for Kamal Haasan's film.

After 'Vikarm', the box office comparisons between Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth's film will resume as the last few films of both the actors did not work as expected. But we will have to wait to see how the film progresses with the weekend and no major releases. However, 'Vikarm' will surely be Kamal Haasan's biggest hit at the box office.
