US President Joe Biden may host a dinner for Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the middle of this year. Officials have said that the White House wants to host the Indian Prime Minister in June itself, although its timing may move back and forth.
Sending an invitation to PM Modi from America shows the deepening relationship between the two countries. In the last few years, America has taken many important policy decisions keeping India at the center. These include his Indo-Pacific policy and steps like playing an important role in the Quad.
Significantly, Joe Biden has invited only two leaders before PM Modi to come to the White House for an official dinner. These include French President Emmanuel Macron and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. Now PM Modi will be the third leader to whom Biden will give dinner at the White House.
