With the drop in temperature in Delhi, pollution is also increasing at an alarming level. The national capital is currently in the 'severe' air quality category with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 472.
Because of rising air pollution, all schools will conduct online classes compulsorily till November 8 for the students of class 1 to class 8 in Gautam Budh Nagar district.
According to the notice issued by Gautam Budh Nagar District Magistrate Dharamveer Singh, the schools have also been advised to conduct online classes as far as possible for the students of class 9 to class 12.
AQI is in the severe category
The Air Quality Index (AQI) currently stands at 562 in Noida (UP) in the 'severe' category, 539 in Gurugram (Haryana) in the 'severe' category, and 563 near Delhi University in the 'severe' category. The overall AQI of Delhi is currently 472 in the 'severe' category.
Snow can be seen in high-altitude areas
It is likely to move further in Kumaon from November 7. On November 7, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts may see very light to very light rain and snowfall in high-altitude areas. The situation is likely to remain the same on eight and nine.
Weather changes expected after five days
According to the Meteorological Center, as the effect of Western Disturbance subsides in the state, there has been an increase in the cold due to the increase in the effect of north-westerly wind. According to the meteorologist, the weather of the state is likely to remain dry for the next five days. No major change in day and night temperatures is expected. At the same time, the average maximum temperature of the state is expected to be between 30-32 degrees Celsius and the average minimum temperature is likely to be between 17-19 degrees Celsius.
Cyclonic winds blowing in the Bay of Bengal
At the same time, due to the cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, it has been raining continuously for the last three-four days. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of north-east monsoon rains in many parts of the country including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karaikal today.
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, there is a strong possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Rayalaseema, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh today.
Heavy rain in many areas of South
Due to heavy rains in many areas of the south, a decision has been taken to close the schools. Schools were also closed in 9 districts of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday due to rain. Schools up to class 8 in Tiruvannamalai, Chennai, Thiruvalluvar, Ranipettai, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Vellore, Villupuram, and Thirupathur have also been closed on November 2 because of the possibility of rain and waterlogging by the Meteorological Department.
