Temperature likely to drop further in Delhi on Saturday
Delhi's air quality remained at the bottom of the 'very poor' category on Saturday morning. The average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 303, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR). The AQI was recorded at 295 on Friday evening. The temperature is expected to drop further in Delhi on Saturday. The minimum temperature in the city is likely to be between 9-10 degrees Celsius. A light fog was observed at many places in Delhi in the morning. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the maximum temperature would be around 26 degrees Celsius.
Snowfall and cold waves in the mountains
Due to changing weather, a cold wave is going on in the high-altitude areas of the mountain. Due to snowfall on the high peaks including Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, the temperature has come down. Due to the change in the weather, people from the mountains to the plains are in the grip of cold waves.

Light rain is likely to intensify once it resumes on Sunday. It can last for almost a whole week. The Met department forecast said that heavy to very heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, and Tiruvallur on November 21 and 22. Heavy rain alert has also been issued in other northern districts.

Heavy rain is likely because a low pressure over the southeast Bay of Bengal will move west-westwards and concentrate into a depression over the central Bay of Bengal during the next 48 hours. It is expected to move northwestwards and cross Bengal. It will remain active along the coast between North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra for the next three days.
An official of the Meteorological Department said that many places in Tamil Nadu have been cloudy during the day since evening. There is a possibility of rain in many places in the next few days and on Saturday as well.
