Light rain is likely to intensify once it resumes on Sunday. It can last for almost a whole week. The Met department forecast said that heavy to very heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram, and Tiruvallur on November 21 and 22. Heavy rain alert has also been issued in other northern districts.
Due to this change in the weather

It is expected to move northwestwards and cross Bengal. It will remain active along the coast between North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra for the next three days.
