On the other hand, heavy to very heavy rains are likely over parts of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in these states.
Western Disturbance persisting in the Bay of Bengal
Meanwhile, a new cyclonic pressure center is forming in the lower troposphere over the Bay of Bengal.
