Why is Martyr's Day celebrated?
On March 23, three freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar were hanged by the British. At a young age, these heroes fought for the freedom of the country and sacrificed their lives. Along with this, Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev have become sources of inspiration for Indians. His revolution and enthusiasm flow in the veins of the youth today. This is the reason why India celebrates Martyr's Day every year on 23rd March to pay homage to these three great revolutionaries.
Prayers are done for the heroes
Tributes are paid to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Shivram Rajguru on the occasion of Martyr's Day. Silent meetings are organized by various educational institutions and government and non-government organizations on this occasion and prayers are offered for the peace of the souls of the heroes. In many places, a program of essay writing and public speech is also organized on March 23 Martyr's Day.
Sentenced after throwing a bomb in Central Assembly
Many brave sons Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev had sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. Raising his voice against British rule, he threw bombs into the Central Assembly in protest against the Public Safety and Trade Distribute Bill. After which he was arrested and sentenced to death. March 23 is the same day when the British government hanged three brave sons of the country.
