Weather Update: Weather will change today, there is a possibility of light rain with dust storm in these states, heat will run here

Summer heat continues in North India. The mercury is very high in various states including UP, and Delhi and no major relief is expected soon. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change in the national capital Delhi today. At the same time, there is a possibility of light rain in Karnataka, Jammu, Kashmir, etc. Due to the rains in many states of North India, the temperature in Uttar Pradesh was also falling by two to three degrees. Due to this, there was also relief from the heat, the weather was somewhat pleasant due to the clouds covering the whole day. After two days i.e. from the 15th, the temperature is expected to rise. Along with this, a heatwave warning has been issued. On Thursday, isolated rain and thundershowers may occur in parts of Punjab and Uttarakhand. This can provide relief from the heat. Partly cloudy sky over Delhi NCR. The wind will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour.

 

Chance of rain in these states today

 

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain may occur over Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu today. Light to moderate rain is very likely over the rest of Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, South Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, and parts of Himachal Pradesh. Light rain is possible at isolated places over the northern parts of Punjab and Haryana.

 

Light dust storms likely to occur in these states

 

According to Skymet Weather, thunderstorms or light dust storm may occur in some parts of Haryana and Northwest Rajasthan. Dusty winds are blowing in some parts of Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and NCR. Heatwave conditions are possible over isolated parts of East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Western parts of Uttar Pradesh.

 

The temperature will drop by two to three degrees in North-West India

 

RK Jenamani, Senior Scientist of the Meteorological Department said that the major phase of the heatwave is coming to an end in north-west India and the temperature is likely to drop by two to three degrees Celsius due to the increase in the presence of clouds. He said that the heatwave in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir will be less from Thursday. He said that as per the forecast, the Western Disturbance is already showing its effect over North-West India. The countrywide temperature was the highest in 122 years due to no rain in the last 50 days. Heatwave conditions may occur in Rajasthan around April 16. Another Western Disturbance is possible from April 18.

 

The mercury again crosses 40 in the capital Delhi, but relief from the heatwave remains intact.

 

After a day's partial respite, Delhi's temperature again crossed 40 degrees on Wednesday. It was sunny all day long. The heat may not have gone away, but the scorching heat has made it worse. Not only did getting out in the afternoon, but it was also difficult to stop at the traffic signal. Especially the condition of pedestrians and two-wheelers was worth seeing. According to the Meteorological Department, the situation will remain like this for about a week. It will be partly cloudy on Thursday. The Meteorological Department has forecast that on Thursday, there will be strong wind with a speed of 20 to 30 mph. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 39 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. The humidity level in the air ranged from 16 to 76 percent. The Ridge area and sports complex were the hottest areas of Delhi. The maximum temperature in the Ridge was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.0 degrees Celsius in the complex.
