
The dream of the bullet train is taking shape in the country. A bullet train project is in progress between Ahmedabad in Gujarat and Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. Under this, the work of pillars in Bharuch (Gujarat) has started becoming visible. The bullet train will be tested at a speed of 350 kmph. Airplanes fly at this speed. The first such test will be between Bilimora and Surat in Gujarat in 2026, followed by tests in other sections.

Let us inform you that before the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat, the construction of a bullet train corridor in the state has gained momentum. At present, an average of 200-250 pillars are being built every month in the 352 km long Sabarmati-Vapi section of Gujarat. The work on the proposed 20 bridges on various rivers is also going on in full swing. The ministry is taking daily updates on the project.

National High-Speed Rail Corridor (NHSRL) Principal Executive Director Pramod Sharma said that out of the total eight in Gujarat, the target is to complete the construction work of Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad high-speed stations by 2024. The official claimed that the remaining stations including Bilimora, Vapi, and Anand would be ready by 2026.
1.26 km long bridge being built over Narmada river
A 1.26 km long bridge is being built over the Narmada river on the High-Speed Corridor. This will be the longest bridge on this route. Its construction will also be completed in July 2024. A total of 20 bridges are being built on the Sabarmati, Dhadhar, Mahi, Damanganga, and Tapti rivers of the state.
