Amidst preparations for the Kerala Assembly elections, discontent has surfaced within the Congress party regarding Shashi Tharoor, the four-time MP from Thiruvananthapuram. According to media reports, Shashi Tharoor will not be attending the meeting called by the Congress high command today to discuss the party's preparations for the Kerala Assembly elections.

According to sources, Shashi Tharoor felt insulted after not receiving "due respect" during Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Kochi. He is reportedly upset with the way he was treated during Rahul Gandhi's public meeting.

Media reports suggest that he was asked to finish his speech before Rahul Gandhi arrived at the event, which Shashi Tharoor perceived as a lack of respect. His resentment stems from this perceived disrespect from the party leadership. This is reportedly the reason why Shashi Tharoor has distanced himself from the crucial Congress meeting.

Important meeting on Kerala elections scheduled for today

An important meeting of the Congress high command with senior leaders from Kerala is scheduled to take place in Delhi at 2:30 PM today. The news of Shashi Tharoor's displeasure has emerged ahead of this meeting. According to sources, Shashi Tharoor is currently in Kerala and will not be attending the meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge today.

However, the Congress party has not yet issued any official statement on this entire incident, nor has Shashi Tharoor commented on his decision.
