New Delhi: A meeting was held with the Finance Minister of G-20 countries and the Governor of Central Bank. It was chaired by Saudi Arabia. The subject of the meeting was how to deal with the situations arising out of Covid-19.

 

This was the second meeting related to G-20 finance matters which took place through video conferencing. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also involved in this. Nirmala Sitharaman praised the Saudi Finance Minister that he is constantly working to deal with Corona. Earlier in the meeting, Nirmala Sitharaman urged all the countries to work together and cooperate to fight Corona so that the financial system can run continuously and save the global economy.

 

This time Nirmala said that we have to save both the livelihood and life of the people and bring stability in the economic system.

 

During this, he told that the Government of India worked in this direction with immediate effect. He told that India has brought the amount of 3.9 billion dollars to 32 crore people. This relief has reached the people directly. This work was made easy with digital technology. This did not require people to come to the public place. He told all the countries that India benefited from the vision of Prime Minister Modi. It has brought relief to the people below and around the poverty line from the old decisions taken. RBI has taken several steps to save the market and to keep the credit flow intact. Nearly $ 50 billion in aid has also been given. This includes ease of moratorium and working capital finance in loan installation.

 

G-20 member leaders also spoke on an action plan. There was talk about how to strengthen the economy, how to bring back people's trust, how to save people's lives and jobs, how to maintain the global supply chain. It was decided that these countries will extend every possible support to each other. There was also a consideration to provide some relief in the recovery of loans given to poor countries.

 

Steps to be taken immediately and long steps were identified. Everyone hoped that they would get out of this situation soon. Explain that G-20 includes America, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom and European Union included. In 1999, all these countries came together for cooperation.
