The US has taken a big step after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's debate with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House last week. The US has halted military aid to Ukraine.

According to media reports, a White House official said that the US is halting aid to Ukraine and is reviewing it. This halt will remain until Trump decides that the Ukrainian leaders demonstrate a good faith commitment to peace. This is not a permanent cessation of aid. It is a pause. Under the order, all US military equipment that is not in Ukraine will be halted. US President Trump ordered Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to implement the aid pause.

It is being told that Trump wants to put pressure on Ukraine to completely end the ongoing war with Russia. He also wants Zelensky to support him in this. But Zelensky is seeking security guarantees to end the war. Earlier when Zelensky said that it is not yet time to agree to end the war with Russia. So Trump called it the worst statement by the Ukrainian leader. Trump had said that America would not tolerate this statement of Zelensky for long.

Trump and Zelensky had a debate last week.

The whole world saw the heated debate between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office last week. In this meeting, President Trump had severely reprimanded Zelensky. When Zelensky reached the Oval Office for talks, Trump first joked about Zelensky's dress and said that 'You have come fully prepared'. However, at that time Zelensky handled the matter and was left smiling.

The tension in the meeting reached its peak when Zelensky warned that Russian aggression is a long-term threat to America as well. Zelensky said, 'You have a good sea and you do not feel the danger right now, but you will feel it in the future.' This was enough for Trump and he launched sharp verbal attacks on Zelensky, after which the meeting was abruptly ended.
