A war has broken out between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the central government over the home delivery of ration.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has justified the decision of the central government to stop Kejriwal's plan to deliver a 'door-to-door ration', claiming that "by doing so, the central government has stopped a big scam from happening."

The BJP alleged that through this scheme, the Delhi government intended to do a scam by 'diverting' the ration received in the name of the poor.

Party spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that the provision of 'One Nation-One Ration Card' was made by the central government, but the Delhi government refused to proceed on this subject, due to which thousands of workers were deprived of ration today. went.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had held a press conference on Sunday, alleging that the door-to-door ration scheme was going to start in Delhi from this week, all the preparations had been done for this, but the central government had two Stopped it the day before.

'Pizza-burger why not delivery of ration'

He said, "The central government claims that we did not take the approval. But we have taken the approval not once, but five times. Legally, we do not need the approval of the Center, but we did it out of courtesy. We did. The name of this scheme was named Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana. You (PM Modi) then said that the name of the Chief Minister cannot be included in the scheme. We removed the name after accepting your request. Still, you rejected this scheme."

Arvind Kejriwal's question is that when smartphones, pizza-burgers can be delivered in the country, then why not ration?

In the press conference, Kejriwal appealed to the central government to implement this scheme and said, "Prime Minister, do you sympathize with the ration mafia? If you will not listen to the poor, then who will listen. Many poor people have lost their jobs. People do not want to go out, so we are making arrangements to deliver ration from door to door. The country is currently going through a huge crisis. This is the time to hold each other's hands, to help people. With this scheme, Delhi 72 lakh families of which will get the benefit, a large part of which is stolen by the ration mafia.

According to Kejriwal, "Some officials said that the ration is from the central government which cannot be used for state schemes."

'Centre ready to give additional ration'

However, the central government has termed these allegations of Kejriwal as baseless. The central government said in a statement that the way the Delhi government wants to distribute ration has not stopped the Delhi government.

According to the statement, the Delhi government can do the same under any other scheme. The Government of India is also ready to provide additional ration for this as per the notified rates. Then the Delhi government should distribute it in whatever way it wants. Why would the central government deprive citizens of any public welfare scheme?

On Kejriwal's contention that 'he did not need the Centre's approval for this scheme, but he did so out of courtesy', BJP spokesperson Harish Khurana said, "Kejriwal has to understand that the government is according to the Constitution and the law. The NFSA Act says that the approval of the Center is necessary to start any new scheme. Secondly, there is also a stay of the court on this scheme. So Kejriwal is not above the law. Rather, the Center is helping him. Is ready for. The central government is ready to give more ration. Don't do all this by referring to the ration mafia."

The Delhi government on Saturday said that the Lt Governor has rejected the ration scheme as the Center was not approved for the scheme and the matter is pending in the High Court.

But some newspapers published from Delhi have claimed in their report that the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has not rejected this proposal of the Kejriwal government, as is being portrayed by the Delhi government.

'Buy ration Kejriwal'

To answer Kejriwal's allegations, BJP leader Sambit Patra also held a digital press conference on Sunday, in which he said, "Arvind Kejriwal has spoken in such a way that the people of Delhi are being denied their rights, While it is not."

He said, "Ration is being provided to the needy in Delhi by the National Food Security Act and the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Other Yojana, 72,782 metric tonnes of food grains have been sent to Delhi till May and June 5 more than the quota. The Delhi government has so far been able to lift only about 53,000 metric tonnes of food grains and only 68 percent of it has been distributed to the public.

Patra said, "Under the National Food Security Act, Arvind Kejriwal pays only Rs 2 per kg on wheat and the central government gives Rs 23.7 per kg. On rice, Kejriwal pays only Rs 3 per kg and the central government gives Rs 33.79 per kg. Apart from this, Arvind Kejriwal wants to distribute ration as well, so he can buy ration for this. Ration can be bought at the notified rate. There will be no objection to the central government or anyone.
