Now few days are left for IPL 2023 to start. Even before this, the team of Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a major setback. Will Jacks has been ruled out of the 16th season of IPL due to injury. Jaques was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 3.2 crore in the auction held in December. He was included in the team as a cover for Glenn Maxwell in the middle order.

Please tell them that during the fielding in the second ODI against Bangladesh, his muscles were injured. He was forced out of the IPL following a scan earlier this week and consultation with a specialist. According to ESPN Cric Info, RCB is in talks with New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell as a possible replacement for Jacques.

The first match is on 2 April

Bracewell has never played in IPL before. He had kept his base price of Rs 1 crore for the auction held in December last year, but he did not find any buyer. RCB will play their first match of the upcoming season on April 2 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This will be their first match at their home ground since May 2019.

Recently made debut for England

Apart from Jacques, another England player Reece Topley was also bought by RCB. He remained on the bench for the limited-overs tour of Bangladesh due to a minor injury. He is expected to be fit before the start of the IPL season. Jaques recently made his debut for England in all three formats of international cricket. He made his T20 International and Test debut in Pakistan and then made his ODI debut in Bangladesh.
