New Delhi: An important meeting is going on between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah (Coronavirus) crisis. The meeting of both is going on in 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. Experts believe that there can be a discussion on lockdown in this meeting. Let us tell you that Lockdown 4.0 is ending on 31 May.

Let us tell you that earlier on Thursday, Home Minister Amit Shah talked to all the Chief Ministers regarding the lockdown five. The Home Minister had asked the Chief Ministers for their opinion on the status of the states and the lockdown. Just three days before the end of the fourth phase of the lockdown, the Home Minister held a telephone conversation with the Chief Ministers. This was the first time that the Home Minister spoke to the Chief Ministers to know their views before another phase of lockdown was over.

To prevent the spread of corona virus, a nationwide lockdown was first imposed on 25 March and after that it has been extended three times. "The Home Minister held talks with all the Chief Ministers and know their views on extending the lockdown after May 31," said a Home Ministry official.

During his talks with the Chief Ministers, Shah was also consulted to know their views on the areas of worrisome situation in the states and which areas they want to open after June 1. Interestingly, till now, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was talking to all Chief Ministers through video conference to know their views before increasing the lockdown at every stage. Shah was also present during all the chief ministers' conferences with the Prime Minister.

Another official said that at present, the opinion of the Chief Ministers has not been ascertained but it is understood that most of them want to continue the lockdown in some form. They are also in favor of promoting economic activities and normalizing public life. It is likely that in the next three days, the central government will announce its decision on the lockdown.
