Why is International Women's Day celebrated only on March 8?

There is a special reason for selecting March 8 to celebrate Women's Day. Women working in America launched a movement on March 8 for their rights. The Socialist Party of America chose this day in 1908 to honor workers in New York. Whereas Russian women celebrated Women's Day and protested against the First World War. The women of Rukh went on strike in 1917 for bread and peace. Women in Europe took out rallies on March 8 to support peace activists.
