According to medical reports, India requires 15 million units of blood every year, but only 11 million units are collected. Experts have warned that due to the non-availability of quality blood, there is a risk of death of thousands every day in India, because of this risk, people are being made aware of blood donation from time to time.

The habit of donating blood can save you from the risk of many types of chronic diseases. Who can donate blood?

 

Some things are taken care of for donating blood. You must be 18 years or older to donate blood. The donor's blood hemoglobin level should not be less than 13. The weight of the blood donor should be 50 kg, apart from this the blood donor should be completely healthy i.e. there should not be blood pressure, diabetes, or any other type of infection.

 

People suffering from severe lung disease, hepatitis, HIV infection, AIDS, etc. cannot donate blood. Generally, the next blood donation should be done even after three months of one blood donation. Let us know about the health benefits of donating blood.
