Maharashtra is facing the threat of a cyclone storm due to the Corona epidemic. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the next 48 hours. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure area is forming over the Arabian Sea, due to which a cyclonic storm can hit the coast of Maharashtra and Gujarat on 2-3 June. It is being called the nature storm. According to meteorologists, it is quite unusual that a cyclone will hit the coastal areas of Maharashtra in June.
For the first time since 1891
According to the Cyclone E Atlas of the Meteorological Department, for the first time since 1891, a storm situation is occurring around the coastal area of Maharashtra in the Arabian Sea. The Hindustan Times quoted meteorologist Akshay Deoras as saying that earlier in 1948 and 1980, such a pressure was made twice and a storm was formed, but later the situation was averted. There is a possibility of heavy winds and heavy rains in Maharashtra from June 2 afternoon till June 3.
The Meteorological Department has not yet clarified where the cyclone will hit. Skymet has said that the cyclone will hit near the boarders of North Maharashtra and South Gujarat. Preparations for the storms in Mumbai and Gujarat coastal areas are less, so it will definitely be a problem to face it in less than 48 hours. That too when the administration of both Maharashtra and Gujarat states is fighting against Corona.
Advice to fishermen not to venture into the sea
The Meteorological Department has warned, 'There is a low pressure area over South Eastern and adjoining East Central Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep region. It is likely to strengthen in the next 24 hours as pressure over the eastern central and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea and then in the next 24 hours it can become stronger and turn into a cyclonic storm. The department has advised precautionary fishermen not to venture into the sea by June 4. The situation is likely to remain bad in the sea till June 4.
The name of the storm will be nature
If the area of low pressure created in the Arabian Sea turns into a storm, then its name will be nature. Although the storm has not been officially named. This is not done until the low pressure zone turns into a cyclonic storm. Some people are also calling it 'Hika' storm.
