Center warns states: If there is surplus power then the information will have to be given, the quota will be cut if electricity is sold without informing

The power crisis in the country is deepening. Alam has become that due to shortage of coal in many states, power plants have come to a standstill. States are repeatedly pleading with the Center to meet the electricity demand. Meanwhile, the Government of India has also geared up to meet the shortage of electricity. On behalf of the Central Government, the states have been instructed to schedule the electricity among the consumers and inform the Central Government about the surplus power.

 

 

Surplus electricity will be sent to needy states

The Central Government has issued instructions to the states on Tuesday that they will have to inform the Center about their surplus power so that the Central Government can allocate the surplus power to the needy states.

 

 

If found selling electricity, action will be taken

The central government has said that all the states will have to schedule the allocated power among the consumers. If there is surplus electricity, then the states will not be able to sell that electricity. If this is found, then the quota of electricity of the concerned state will be reduced or it will be allotted to the needy state.

 

Delhi will get electricity as per demand

The Central Government has given instructions to NTPC and DVC that the distribution companies of Delhi should be given as much power as is demanded. The government has said that the declared power given to Delhi Discom in the last 10 days should be reviewed and its power supply should be secured.
