Elon Musk's double success in one day: SpaceX's Dragon capsule returned safely with astronauts, landing in the Atlantic Ocean

SpaceX founder Elon Musk received good news from both space and earth on the same day. On Monday, Musk bought Twitter. On the other hand, SpaceX's Dragon capsule made a safe return to Earth from the International Space Station. This capsule landed near Florida in the Atlantic Ocean with a private crew under the Axiom-1 mission.

 

After the success of the mission, the controller welcomed the crew member through a live stream and said – Welcome back to Earth. The Axiom-1 mission marks the beginning of a new paradigm for human spacecraft. We hope you have enjoyed spending a few days in space.

 

8 days were fixed for the mission

 

8 days were set for the Axiom-1 mission, which was launched on April 1. However, the mission's return had to be postponed several times due to rain in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. After this, SpaceX and NASA, after negotiating with Axiom, postponed the return plan till 24 April.

 

López-Alegria took over command of the mission

 

As soon as the weather improved, 15 days later, on Sunday, the Crew Dragon took off from the International Space Station via capsule. The command of this mission was in the hands of retired NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria. Apart from this, Larry Connor, Mission Expert Mark Pethe and Israeli fighter pilot Eyton Stibbe were also involved in this mission as a pilot.

The crew conducted more than 26 experiments while in space. These include self-build technologies like satellite and future space residence, cancer stem cell study, air purification, and testing age computing. The entire service of the Axiom is simplified in NASA's process for science and technology activity.
