Foreign Policy: With the change in foreign policy, the dominance of India increased rapidly on the global stage.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting held in Samarkand city of Uzbekistan got a glimpse of India's changed foreign policy and growing diplomatic intimidation. In the meeting, India distanced itself from China, so did not refrain from advising Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Ukraine war matter. There has been a significant change in India's foreign policy in the last few years. India's foreign policy is now becoming country-to-country-centric rather than focused on the powerful country or its associated groups.

 

India's stature in global diplomacy will strengthen further next year. India will also get the presidency of the G20 and the United Nations Security Council in December this year after the SCO. Important meetings of G-20 and SCO will be held in India next year. Apart from this, there is a strong possibility of India getting admission to the group of G-7 countries next year. Some more member countries want to include India in this group along with Germany, which has invited India as a host for its conference.

 

India's foreign policy has changed significantly in the last two to three years. India is taking an independent stand on global issues in its interest. India took an independent stand on important issues like recent Taiwan-China tensions and the Ukraine war. Ignoring the pressure of many countries including America, not only did not publicly condemn Russia but also continued to import oil from it.

 

Profit and loss-wise decisions

 

The government source said the change in foreign policy is a sign of moving towards an independent foreign policy. India has recently presented many hallmarks of this. We are taking a stand on any issue based on our profit and loss. India is making a different image in the global groups as well. On the one hand, he is an important member of the SCO, which is being called anti-US. On the other hand, he is a member of the Quad, which is considered an anti-China forum. Apart from this, India is also a member of the G-20 group, of which conflicting countries like America-China are also members.

 

New diplomatic power will be available in the new year

 

The next year will prove to be very important for India in terms of global diplomacy. This year India will host the G-20, SCO summits as its chair. Being the chair of these groups, India will get the right to invite the countries of her choice to these conferences. In such a situation, he will get a big opportunity to increase his stature at the level of diplomacy. India has prepared a plan to invite Bangladesh, Netherlands, Egypt, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, and Spain to the G-20 summit.

 

Tit-to-Tit Style Reply

 

The government source says that we are responding in a tit-for-tat manner. The message to China is that if it doesn't care about our interests, we don't care about its interests either. China felt that like the Doklam dispute, India would take a minor initiative to end the Eastern Ladakh LAC dispute. Similarly, India is not liking Russia's growing proximity to Pakistan.
