Kangana Ranaut has been given a ticket by the BJP from the Mandi constituency of Himachal Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. The actress is all set to start her political innings. Kangana has been in action mode ever since she entered politics and is once again making headlines for her outspoken statements. Kangana has now told why she has joined politics. Let us know.

Kangana recently described herself and Shahrukh Khan as "the last generation of stars". Kangana was asked whether the actress's entry into politics was a result of her recent films flopping at the box office. On this Kangana said that it is not so. Kangana gave the example of Shahrukh Khan, who had the biggest hits of his career in 2023 - Pathan, Jawan, and Danki. The actress said that before these hit films, Shahrukh had also seen difficult times.

Kangana further said, 'There is no artist in this world who has never had a flop film. Shahrukh did not get any hits for 10 years, but then 'Pathan' worked. I didn't get any hits for 7-8 years, then Queen worked for my career. Then, I did not get any hits for 3-4 years and then worked on Manikarnika. Now hopefully the emergency will bring my career back on track.

Let us tell you that recently Kangana Ranaut targeted Congress and said, 'Congress has always been a scary party for me. Nepotism at the party has been extremely problematic for me because I was the target of the same system in my (film) industry.

Talking about the work front, Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister of the country Indira Gandhi in the film 'Emergency'. Let us tell you that Kangana has directed this film. Apart from Kangana, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Vishal Nair, and Shreyas Talpade will be seen playing important roles in this.
