The lockdown continues across the country due to the Corona virus. Due to the lockdown, migrant laborers, students and tourists are stranded in different parts of the country. In lockdown, the worst condition is that of migrant laborers, who have no place to live and eat. In this hour of Corona crisis, the Modi government of the center has given great relief by running special train for migrant laborers and students. Following the request of the states, the central government has given permission to run special trains for different states from Friday. In this way, now migrant laborers of many states including UP, Bihar and Jharkhand will be able to go to their homes by train, but for this they have to keep some important information.
First train opened from Telangana to Jharkhand
After the Central Government agreed, the first train opened from Telangana to Jharkhand in lockdown. There were about 1200 migrant laborers in this train, who went to Hatia. Not only this, a total of six special trains were run on different routes on Friday. Therefore, the hopes of the laborers of other states will also be aroused that they too will get their government back home by train. It is to be noted here that the consent of both the states is necessary in the return of migrant laborers home. That is, the state in which the migrant is living and where he has a home.
Only you will be able to travel in the list
In this train, the same passengers will be able to travel, who have been registered. That is, a list of people traveling in the special train for migrants will be prepared and accordingly people will travel in it. Migrant laborers and students etc. have to apply for it in their home state. The state government will appoint the nodal officer in the concerned state and the list of nodal officers who prepare the list will be assigned to the Railways. The railway will then inform all those passengers so that people can reach the station on time. Only those who will be named in the list will be allowed to travel.
Return home only after investigation
Migrants will be screened before traveling on the train, which will be arranged at the station itself. When the passenger is found correct at the screening of Corona, he will be allowed to board the train. If any disturbance is found during the investigation, then the passenger will be sent to the hospital at the same time. That is, his return home will not be a bagger completing the quarantine period.
Passenger does not need to buy food or tickets
It is to be noted here that migrant passengers traveling in special trains do not have to take tickets. Due to the nationwide lockdown implemented due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the railways will collect from the state governments the fare for transporting stranded migrant laborers across the country to their home states. The train by which migrant laborers will be sent has been named Shramik Special. The fare for the journey will include the ticket price of Sleeper class, superfast fee of 30 rupees and food and water of 20 rupees. Railways have clarified that the passengers do not have to buy anything from them, their expenses will be borne by the State Governments. After the services were suspended for a month, the railways started the first passenger train for these laborers from Hyderabad to Jharkhand at 4:30 in the morning with a total of 12,00 people. That is, food and water for the migrants will be at the station itself. The state government will be responsible for this.
Social distance and mask essential in train
If you are also a migrant laborer and are looking forward to returning home, then you must always keep the mask with you. That is, you will not be able to travel without putting a mask on your mouth. Apart from this, you have to follow social distancing on the train as well. This is the reason that the railway will take people in the train according to the seats.
Schedule of five trains
Railways also set schedules for the other five trains. These trains will travel from Nashik to Lucknow, Aluva to Bhubaneswar, Nashik to Bhopal, Jaipur to Patan and Kota to Hatia. Every train will have between one thousand and 12 hundred people. Significantly, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Bihar, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Telangana had called for special trains for laborers.
Railway passenger service suspended till May 17
The Railways announced on Friday that its passenger train service will remain suspended till May 17. However, some special trains will be run for migrant laborers during this period.
You will not be able to travel by purchasing tickets
Railways have made it clear that tickets will not be sold to anyone at the station. Therefore, people should not go to the station with the intention of buying tickets. Only those people who will be brought by the State Government officials will be allowed to travel. The state governments will decide which people have to travel on the train.
Quarantine even after homecoming
If you sit on the train and the journey starts, then it does not end here. When you reach your destination station, then you will also be screened there. If no symptoms are found then the passengers will be sent directly to the house, where they will have to complete a 14-day quarantine. If there is any disturbance, then the hospital will be sent. However, it is not yet completely clear whether the migrants will be kept at school, or any other places or sent home.
