India, batting first, posted 149/6 in 20 overs on a challenging surface. Shafali Verma led the scoring with an attacking knock of 64 runs from 40 deliveries, smashing seven fours and three sixes. Harmanpreet Kaur contributed an unbeaten 24, while Richa Ghosh scored 21.
In reply, Bangladesh struggled to build momentum and finished at 109/7 in 20 overs, falling 40 runs short of the target. Deepti Sharma was the pick of the Indian bowlers with 3 wickets for 26 runs in four overs, while Nandani Sharma claimed 2/10.
India’s 10th Women’s Asia Cup Final
With the victory, India have now reached their 10th Women’s Asia Cup final, underlining their long-standing dominance in the tournament. India won all four of their ODI-era titles, in 2004, 2005-06, 2006 and 2008.
In the T20 era, India won the title in 2012, 2016 and 2022, while finishing runners-up in 2018 and 2024. Bangladesh won the 2018 final, while Sri Lanka defeated India in the 2024 title clash.

The Women’s Asia Cup 2026 final will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 13, with the match scheduled to begin at 8 PM IST. India will face the winner of the second semifinal between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, which is scheduled for September 11.
