Political upheaval continues in Rajasthan regarding cabinet expansion and political appointments. After CM Ashok Gehlot in Delhi Durbar, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot has also appeared for his demands. The high command can take a decision soon after listening to both the factions. On Friday afternoon, Sachin Pilot met Congress President Sonia Gandhi for about 40 minutes on issues related to Rajasthan Congress. During this, he also submitted some reports to the Congress President, while speaking about the share of his supporters in the cabinet and government. The pilot said that the workers who have shed blood and sweat for the party should be given respect. Assembly elections are not far away now.
According to the information received by Amar Ujala, the Congress high command does not want any delay in the reconciliation agreement between Gehlot and Pilot in Rajasthan. The delay in cabinet expansion was the biggest reason for the tussle between the two factions so far. To overcome this now an attempt is being made to reach a consensus on all the issues. Therefore, the top leadership of Congress wants to implement the sharing formula in the cabinet reshuffle and political appointments in the state. So that the tussle between the leaders of Gehlot and Pilot camp can be reduced. The high command is also considering implementing the one-person one-post formula. So that more people can get a place in the cabinet. If this formula is implemented, then three close ministers of Gehlot may have to leave the chair.
High command will decide the role of the pilot
Apart from cabinet reshuffle and political appointments in Rajasthan, the role of former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot is also to be decided by the Congress high command. There has been a discussion for a long time on giving Pilot some important responsibility in the Congress organization, but the Congress leadership will decide whether this post will be in the state Congress or outside. The pilot's meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday is being seen as a link to being given a new responsibility in the organization. It is said that after the formula for cabinet expansion is decided, the role of the pilot will also be decided. On Wednesday itself, Sachin has already spoken to Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal.
CM Gehlot has submitted his report
The pilot's camp wants an equal share in Rajasthan's cabinet expansion and political appointments. The pilot's faction has been raising this point very loudly since the beginning. The pilot had also placed this demand before the conciliation committee. Only after that, the high command has prepared a formula for sharing in cabinet and other appointments to pacify both the factions. Meanwhile, CM Gehlot has also submitted his report to the high command. After meeting Sonia Gandhi, he had said that I have briefed the report sought from me on the cabinet reshuffle. We have left the entire decision to the Congress leadership. Whatever decision the high command takes will be accepted.
