Abdul Basit's bail plea rejected
Rhea was arrested on September 8 by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug connection that surfaced in connection with the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput's death. In an affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court by NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, Rhea stated in a statement that he had paid drug money to Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant, which was later paid to Sushant. It is clear that the drugs for which the money was paid were not for personal use but to supply them to someone else and this is under Section 27A of NDPS 1985.
If Rhea is left, the evidence will be destroyed: NCB
The NCB also said in an affidavit that the investigation is at a critical stage and if Rhea gets bail at the moment, it will hamper the investigation.
