The Russian army is now facing difficulties in Ukraine. This is not the claim of any media report, it is the statement of the new commander of the Russian army himself. He said that the governor appointed in the Russian-occupied territory in Kherson province has issued orders to vacate the area. He described the situation in the area as tense.

Attempts to attack Russian targets continuously

In a conversation with the media, General Sergei Surovikin told that the enemy is constantly trying to attack the positions of the Russian army. He said the areas of Kupiyansk, Lyman, and Mykolaiv-Krivi Rih remain the areas of greatest concern. Kupiyansk and Lyman are in eastern Ukraine, while the area between Mykolaiv and Krivy Rih is essentially the northern part of Kherson Province in southern Ukraine.

The Russian army retreated several kilometers

He said Russian forces have been pushed back 20-30 km in Kherson in the past few weeks and are at risk of being pinned against the right or west bank of the Dniepro River. Soon after Surovikin's comments were broadcast, Vladimir Saldo, the Russian-appointed governor of the Kherson region, announced an organized, gradual displacement of civilians from four cities on the right bank. In a video message, Saldo accused the Ukrainian military of planning to destroy a large dam at the Nova Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station, without citing evidence.

Ukraine's army is moving toward Kherson

Surovikin acknowledged that there was now a danger of Ukrainian forces moving towards the city of Kherson, which is located on the west bank near the mouth of the Dniepro, and that it is difficult for Russia to re-supply from the east because the main bridge across the Dnipro is Ukraine. was badly damaged by the bombing. The city of Kherson was largely occupied by Russia in the early days of the invasion, and it remains the only major Ukrainian city retained by Moscow's forces.
