"We learned from our mistakes," Harmanpreet Kaur revealed after her win and praised Jemimah.

The Indian team rewrote history on Thursday, crushing seven-time champions Australia. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team completed the highest-ever run chase at the DY Patil Stadium and secured a place in the final of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup. India will face South Africa in the final.

 

After India's historic victory, captain Harmanpreet Kaur made several interesting revelations. She shared her conversation with her coach after the match. The Indian captain said, "I am very proud. I don't have words to express my feelings. It feels great. We worked hard for years, and this time we managed to cross the line."

 

 

Proud of this team

Harmanpreet Kaur also said, "We tell each other that we did this because of our hard work. The coach and I are proud of this team. We believe that any player can win a match from any situation." We made some mistakes, but we learned from them and moved on.

 

 

She said, "Against Australia, we wanted all the conditions to be in our favor, and we kept telling each other to stay at the crease for the team. This worked for us. In the match against England, we realized that we didn't follow the plan properly. We delayed the innings by 2-3 overs. We took a risk a few overs earlier and suffered the consequences."

 

 

Our strategy worked.

The 36-year-old Harman said, "We discussed these things and decided to play thoughtfully. Once you're out of the match, it's difficult to come back. I know it's a 50-over game, but in the last five overs, you have to be precise and intelligent. We knew what we wanted to do in such a situation and wanted to finish the match before the 50th over."

 

 

Always confident in Rodriguez

Harmanpreet Kaur heaped praise on Player of the Match Jemimah Rodriguez (127*). Kaur said, "Jemimah is someone who always wants to do better for the team. She's very intelligent and willing to take responsibility. We always have confidence in her. We both had a great time on the pitch. Whenever we bat together, we encourage each other."

 

 

She added, "Jemimah always tells me, 'We've got five runs, seven runs, two balls left.' This shows how involved she is in the match. Her thinking is brilliant. She deserves a lot of credit for maintaining her composure and continuing to bat for the team."

 

 

Our focus is on the final.

Regarding reaching the final, Harmanpreet Kaur said, "One more match left. We played well today and are happy with the result." "But we've already started talking about the next match. It shows how focused we are and how eager we are to win the World Cup. Playing the World Cup at home is special, and we want to give our families and fans the trophy."
