The biggest AI summit begins in Delhi today, PM Modi says, 'The world will know our potential.'

The India AI Impact Summit is set to begin in India today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at 5 pm on February 16, 2026, at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said that our country is rapidly advancing in science and technology.

 

 

He said, "It is a matter of great pride for us that people from all over the world are coming to India for the India AI Impact Summit. This also demonstrates the potential of our youth. This occasion is also a testament to the fact that our country is rapidly progressing in science and technology and making a significant contribution to global development. "Dane tapasi shauham cha vijnan vinye naye. Vismayo na hi kartavyayo bahuratna vasundhara."

 

 

National AI Exhibition to be held in Delhi

India AI Impact Expo 2026 will be held alongside the India AI Impact Summit and will be a national showcase. It will feature over 600 high-potential startups and 13 country pavilions showcasing international collaborations in the AI ​​ecosystem. The expo will bring together global technology firms, startups, academia, research institutions, central and state governments, and international partners.

 

 

Today is the first day of the summit.

The first day of the summit begins on February 16th and will focus on artificial intelligence for road safety, including data-driven solutions to improve road safety in India. The first session will explore how artificial intelligence can impact road safety.

 

 

This session will emphasize data-driven approaches to understanding crash patterns, predicting risk, and enabling proactive interventions. It will also discuss scalable artificial intelligence applications to support safe mobility, driver training, and the development of data-driven hyperlocal models.
