In his petition, Kumar had sought the cancellation of the censor certificate granted to ‘Dhurandhar 2’. The Court found no merit in his petition and subsequently dismissed it.

The petition alleged that the film’s storyline was plagiarized from an original script titled ‘D-Saheb’, written by a Bengaluru-based screenwriter. This statement was made by Kumar’s counsel before Justice Arif Doctor. The counsel clarified that while they would pursue appropriate legal action against Aditya Dhar, they would not issue any public statements regarding the matter.
