More than 150 countries have signed the pledge to reduce the emission of methane gas. More than 50 of these countries had signed the letter in 2021 when this pledge was taken. India and China have not yet signed this resolution, while China is the largest methane emitter in the world.

It is necessary to reduce the emission of harmful gases

Most of this gas is emitted from the excreta and urine of living beings. According to the resolution, the emission of this harmful gas will be cut by 30 percent by the end of the current decade.
