3rd day of IT raid on Sonu Sood IT sources claim – many evidences of tax malpractices found against the actor, manipulations were also found in the transaction of shooting fees

The Income Tax Department's raids continue for the third consecutive day at six locations including actor Sonu Sood's house and office. Sources have claimed that the IT department has come to know about tax malpractices in a case related to personal finance in this raid. Irregularities have also been found in the money Sonu had taken for the shooting. After this, the Income Tax Department is also investigating the account of Sonu's Charity Foundation.

 

It is being told that this action may end today and after that, the department can make public the information related to this matter by holding a press conference. IT teams are checking Sonu's account books, income, expenses, and financial records. After a short break on Thursday morning, the investigation team is continuously scouting the records at their Mumbai and Lucknow locations.

 

Staff and family questioned

Income Tax Department officials have also questioned Sonu's family and staff members present at his house. The officials have also taken some files with them from his house. Sonu helped thousands of people during the Corona period. He is also running an NGO, named 'Sood Charity Foundation'. This NGO works on Healthcare, Education, Jobs, and Technology Advancement. IT officials have also investigated here. According to the information, the Income Tax Department is 'probing a real estate deal'.

 

A few days ago, the Kejriwal government made Sonu the brand ambassador.

On August 27, the Delhi government has made Sonu the brand ambassador of the program related to school students. During this, there was also speculation about his joining the Aam Aadmi Party, but Sonu himself said that there was no talk on his politics with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Discussions are going on in social media that Sonu is being targeted because of his association with the AAP party.

 

Charges 2 crores for a film

According to a report by caknowledge.com, Sonu's net worth as of September 2021 is 130 crores ($17 million). Sonu currently lives in Mumbai with their wife and children. He is known for his work in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Punjabi films. Brand endorsements are their main source of income.

 

They charge around 2 crore fees for every film. He has his own production house, named Shakti Sagar Productions. It is named after his father. Sonu has worked in about 70 films till now. From brand endorsements and films, he earns about one crore rupees every month i.e. a total of 12 crores in a year.

Sonu lives with his family in a 2600 sq ft 4BHK apartment in Lokhandwala, Andheri. Apart from this, he has two more flats in Mumbai. He also has a bungalow in his hometown, Moga. He has a hotel in Juhu. He opened it to make an isolation center during the lockdown.

 

Apart from this, Sonu's car collection also includes Mercedes Benz ML-Class 350 CDI worth 66 lakhs, Audi Q7 worth 80 lakhs, and Porsche Panama worth 2 crores.
