5 people died, 6 injured, 3 in critical condition due to lightning in Mahasamund, were planting paddy in the field

There are frequent incidents of lightning (Gaj) falling in Chhattisgarh. On Friday, 5 people were killed in Mahasamund district. The dead include 2 girls and 3 women. 6 women have suffered burns, out of which 3 are in critical condition. All the injured have been admitted to the hospital in Saraipali by Sanjeevani Ambulance. At present, the team administration and police have reached the spot. The accident has spread mourning in the village. A day earlier, 2 people died in Jashpur due to a fall.

 

According to the information received, there has been an incident of lightning in the village Ghatkachar in the Singhoda police station area. On Friday, women and girls were planting paddy in the field. Suddenly the weather changed in the afternoon and it started raining heavily. With a roar, lightning struck the women working in the field. More than a dozen people were planting paddy in the field. Everyone was lying in the field feeling helpless. The people working in the nearby fields saw this, after which the police and dial 108 were called. Everyone was sent to the hospital by Sanjeevani Express.

Janaki, Lakshmi, Basanti Nag, Jamovati Nohar, and Mati Bai have died due to lightning. Six people have suffered burns, out of which condition 3 is said to be critical. All are being treated at the hospital in Saraipali. Three of them are in critical condition. The administration and police team are present at the spot. The Collector has given instructions to provide high-level health facilities to all the injured. Let us inform you that a day earlier in the Jashpur district, father and son had died due to lightning. Here also father and son were returning home after working in the fields.
