Post-Covid has been confirmed in the report after the death of a 73-year-old man in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan. Udaipur's Chief Health and Medical Officer Dr. Dinesh Kharadi have said that this death has happened due to post covid pneumonia. At the same time, no travel history of the elderly has been found. Along with this, the report of the elderly came negative on December 21 and 22. However, he said that he died due to post covid pneumonia. The patient was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension. He was admitted to MB Hospital last week after being found infected with Omicron, where he was in critical condition.
RL Suman, superintendent of MB hospital, says that he was undergoing treatment since December 15 and the report of his being found to be Omicron infected was received on December 25. He had the same symptoms that a corona positive patient usually has. Doctor Kharadi says that the biggest thing, in this case, was that the elderly had no travel and contract history in any way. His report had come negative a day earlier.
It is noteworthy that so far four Omicron infected people have been found in Udaipur. Out of which three patients have already come negative and have been discharged from the hospital. The condition of the elderly patient was critical and he was undergoing treatment at MB Hospital. After getting the patient of Omicron variant, the Medical and Health Department started taking vigil in Udaipur.
Along with increasing the vaccination, people are being screened in fifty-five houses in the areas where the corona is getting infected. For such people not to come to the hospital, their sampling is being done from door to door.
