88 arrested including the husband of AIMIM councilor in Karnataka's Hubli violence case, Section 144 prevails in the area

After a post on the internet, the police have intensified their action on the violence that broke out in Hubli, Karnataka on Sunday. The police have now arrested 88 people, including the husband of the AIMIM councilor, in the case. At the same time, Section 144 imposed in the area is still in force. Let us inform you that section 144 was imposed in the area after some people pelted stones at the old Hubli police station. Four policemen were also injured in this incident.

According to the information, the mob created this ruckus over the action against a person who posted an objectionable WhatsApp status. At the same time, the police say that the case was already registered after arresting the accused person. But the people who came to create a ruckus were not satisfied with this and around midnight they pelted stones at the police station in large numbers and also broke many vehicles. According to the police commissioner, the mob then pelted stones at the local hospital and Hanuman temple as well. After which the police had to lathi-charge on seeing the crowd suddenly turned violent.

 

CM Bommai told the conspiracy

 

After the attack, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai told the media that the attack was well-planned. He had said that the organizations that carried out the attack should not forget that strict action would be taken against such incidents. Along with the attackers, the police will also take strict action against those who instigate them. He also appealed to the people to exercise restraint in this matter.

 

Violence also took place in Kolar

 

In Karnataka's Kolar district also, incidents of stone-pelting had taken place before Hubli. It is noteworthy that in the Mulbagal area there was stone pelting on the procession taken out on Ram Navami, after which tension had arisen in the area.
