New Delhi, May 22 (IANS) The AAP Thursday said it will approach a higher court against the magistrate's decision to send its leader Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody in a defamation case.<br /><br />"We will approach a higher court against the order issued by the district court which sent Kejriwal to judicial custody," party leader Sanjay Singh told the media after meeting Kejriwal in the Tihar Jail.<br /><br />AAP leaders and Kejriwal's wife Sunita met the former Delhi chief minister in prison. A court Wednesday sent him to judicial custody for two days after he refused to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 in a defamation case filed by BJP leader Nitin Gadkari, whom Kejriwal called "corrupt".<br /><br />"We will wait till Friday as whether the court allow him bail, then will decide our future strategy. We will call our volunteers' meet and decide," party leader Gopal Rai said.<br /><br />He said the party will go to the people of Delhi and tell them about the corrupt deeds of Gadkari.<br /><br />Talking to reporters, another AAP leader, Prashant Bhushan, said: "The bail bond is required only when the court feels that an accused can flee. Did the court feel that Kejriwal will run away?"
