Shah will visit both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and the visit is likely to take place between October 23 and October 25. A ministry official said the home minister is likely to visit Jammu and Kashmir this month as part of the government's outreach campaign.

Under this program, 70 Union Ministers are visiting the Union Territory. During his visit, Shah can visit Kashmir Valley and remote areas of Jammu and take stock of various development works. Another official said that the Home Minister is also likely to attend a high-level meeting related to law and order which will be attended by senior officers of police, administration, paramilitary forces, and the army.
